The shades I stole are “rebel at heart” and “steel the world”. This is the first I have tried Essence nail polishes, and I am impressed with the metallic formula. “The metals” is the newly launched shade range and it has about 6 beautiful nail polishes. Today, I am sharing my experience about “Rebel at heart”.

My take on ‘Essence I love Trends Nail Polish The Metals Rebel At Heart’

It is packed in a transparent glass bottle similar to Maybelline color show nail polishes except the bigger size and sturdy glass. I had hard time finding the shade name as it not prominently written rather in very small black font which is not conspicuous on already dark colored nail polish bottle. The brush is dense and covers entire nail bed in two strokes. I have big & wide nails so strokes work for me however, on narrower nails even 1 stroke will be enough.

It is neither too thick nor too thin; the consistency is apt for easy application. In one coat it provides 70% coverage and 2 coats give opaque look. It dries super-fast, by the time I get on to the other hand the first hand is already dried and ready for the second coat.

Rebel at heart is a dark grey shade with tons of golden and silver shimmer. The shimmer glams up the look and dark grey base suits all skin tones. This is the kind of shade that looks sober yet attractive. It is an everyday shade, and equally appropriate for parties. Though it is shimmery polish, the finish is quite smooth and even. Unlike Maybelline’s glitter nail polishes it does not feel uneven.

I wore this nail polish for 4 days at a stretch and it did not even fade a bit. By the 5th day, I took it off the nails the nail polish was still intact. The shimmer also did not lose its sheen. Overall I am impressed with the formula and long lasting power.
