I have reviewed one of these shades earlier – Rosy sand, and now when I was planning to buy another shade from the same range I decided to go for a crystal clear nail polish. Let’s see my experience with it.

My take on ‘Maybelline Forever Strong Superstay 7 Day Gel Nail Color–Crystal Clear’
Housed in sturdy glass packaging, this crystal clear nail polish comes in a transparent bottle with white cap. The packaging looks classy and tough, and has all the required details such as price and manufacturing particulars mentioned on it. As it is crystal clear shade one can also see the two metal balls that are responsible for mixing up the polish ingredients. Most nail polishes settle a bit when they sit, the metal balls blend the ingredients so that the polish is evenly distributed on the nails. I like the sound these balls make when they strike against the hard glass, and as a child I always wanted to take them out. But now when I know their purpose, I think they are better inside the bottle.
The applicator brush is quite wide, providing full nail coverage in just one stroke. I have long and wide nails and if it works so well on them I bet on average sized nails it will give even quicker application. I like wide brushes that are full of bristles because they take less time for application and also do not leave brush marks. And, as this applicator brush is both wide and full it works exactly as per my expectations.
Being crystal clear, this nail polish has multiple uses – it can be used as a base coat, top coat and can also be applied individually. I have used it in all three ways and it has never failed to disappoint me. Also, as it has gel formulation so when applied alone it gives the nails shine and smoothness, which look quite classy. When applied as a base coat, it protects the nail beds from unnecessary transfer of color and as a top coat it shields the nail polish from chipping off.
It dries quickly saving me from the need of sitting idle until it gets dry. The finish is smooth and high-shine. Overall, I find it a multi-purpose nail polish that is a 3-in-1 product.

Being crystal clear this nail polish is not only great quality wise but also serves 3 serves – top coat, base coat and individual application. On the whole, I think it is a must have in one’s nail polish collection, and is worth every bit of price.
