I wanted to purchase a peach color lipstick or lip gloss but finally settled on Mauve shade from Maybelline colorsensational high shine lip gloss range. Maybelline has launched 12 arresting shades in this range.

The shades available are Almond Crush, Glisten up Pink, One Shine Day, Captivating Coral, Luminous Latte, Iced Chocolate, Mocha Mazing, Gleaming Grenadine, Electric Shock, Raspberry reflections, Mirrored Mauve, Plum Luster.

Use the wand to apply lip gloss starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss comes in a very attractive packaging. The lip gloss has silver cap with a flexible wand attached to it and a transparent bottom that contains the color of lip gloss. The flexible wand is a new thing for me; I did not find it in any other lip gloss so far. I like it a lot as it bends perfectly to glide across the contour of your mouth, giving a smooth coverage.The gloss has a fruity fragrance that vanishes away in just 10-15 minutes after the application.

Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss range’s Mirrored Mauve shade (shade no 110) is perfect for day wear, office wear and professional meets. Regarding pigmentation, like all other lip glosses this lip gloss also does not have that much coloration. One coat provides a low pigmentation but two coats are enough to get the color of the bottle. The high shine gloss provides a subtle appearance that gives the lips a dewy and fresh look, which stays on for 1-2 hours.

The texture of the Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss is non-sticky and very creamy. It gets settled very smoothly and does not make the lips dry. In fact, I never feel a need of using a lip balm underneath this gloss.

Coming to the staying power, Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss claims to stay intact for 6 Hours. This claim is very true but only if someone does not take any meals. With meals the staying power is pretty average i.e. 3-3.5 hours, after that it calls for a touch-up. The best thing I like about this lip gloss is that it wears out evenly, leaving a pinkish look behind. So even if you don’t go for a touch up your lips will have a tinge of pink.

The not-so-good thing about the gloss is that it is easily transferrable. Your lips will leave a mark whereever they touch ;-) . This is the only con I have observed with Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss.
