The best time to repair the skin is the night time, when the skin is at rest. That’s why I prefer using night creams as they are specifically made to work during night tackling skin concerns and intensifying the results which further helps defer ageing. Well, the latest one I am using is the Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel Cream. I had heard a lot about this cream’s efficacy so when the brand sent it to me I did not waste time and immediately started using it. And here is my experience with this cocoon… I mean night cream :)

My take on Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel Cream
Its packaging deserves a special mention as I have never ever seen a packaging like that before. It comes in a round plastic jar with a twistable fixed cap that has a protruding nozzle on it. The cap needs to be rotated in anti-clockwise direction in order to open the outlet and then pressed-down to release the cream. To close the outlet, rotate the cap in clockwise direction until you hear a tick sound. Amazing! I really like the advanced technology packaging that keeps the usage convenient and maintains the hygiene.
It is a pearly white gel cream with soothing lavender fragrance. I apply it on clean skin (face and neck) just before hitting the bed at night. Two pumps are what I need to cover entire face and neck area. Closely dotting it all over my face and neck, I gently massage it with my fingertips until it disappears in the skin, which it does quite quickly and that too without leaving any greasiness on the skin. All that is left behind is moisturized skin with wonderful fragrance.

While I sleep this cream keeps working at night to recover the skin from the exhaustion I have gone through during the day. The result is waking up to a healthier and plumper looking skin which is ready to conquer the world yet again. Since I have started using this cream the hydration levels have gone up. My skin does not look flaky and dull anymore. Of course, I did a couple of more changes in my lifestyle like reducing coffee-intake and drinking more water, and all these changes together make me smile every time I look at the mirror. As it’s quite clear, I am happy with this cream and this is going to be my savior throughout the winter season.

Final Word: While I sleep, the cocoon of skin-friendly ingredients not only repairs the damaged skin but also prepares it from further harm.
