Every year like a tradition, L’Oreal Paris launches a new makeup range around Cannes film festival. This year it is the “Infallible Mega gloss”, and these glosses come in five unique finishes- matte, neon, cream, dazzle and xtreme. It is rare to see glosses in matte finish so I look forward to trying a matte gloss from this range soon. Today, I will share my experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss- 104 Mafia Gloss.

Apply the lip gloss firstly onto the lower lip, from the centre to the corners. Repeat this on your upper lip, paying extra attention to your cupids bow. This way you will achieve a perfectly shaded effect, leaving the middle of your lips looking more intense and shinier in colour.
My take on ‘L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss -104 Mafia Gloss’
The packaging is decent – transparent rectangular tube with rounded corners (to avoid poking) made of sturdy plastic. The black cap that holds the lip applicator bears the shade number and name. It closes with a sound ensuring that contents are sealed properly and will not spill or dry out. The lip applicator or lip shaper –applicator (as they call it) deserves special mention. It is like a doe foot applicator but with a bend, this shape of the applicator helps in precisely contouring the lips, and give an impeccable evenly deposit color. It defines the lips accurately right from corners to Cupid’s bow just like a lip liner. I would say it is the softest and most convenient lip applicator I have ever used.
There are around 25 shades in this range. It contains shades for all occasions and moods. Mafia gloss is fluorescent pink shade that looks subtle indoors and vibrant under flash lights. It would look best on medium to fair skin tones as it is slightly on neon side. It is a vibrant shade that brightens the complexion instantly, taking away the dull look. It is a summery shade that would go well with floral prints and brings out the delicate feminine side.
It has creamy soft texture that feels very comfortable on lips. It does not cause any sticky feel, in fact it feels very light- I can sense it is there on the lips but there is no irritating feel. I like wearing it all the time as it gives a warm cushiony touch. Even being creamy it is not sticky so I do not have to drag it; the lip-shaper applicator nicely deposits a good quantity of the gloss giving impeccable smooth finish. Plus, it is a high shine gloss, the sheen stays on for good 3 hours, with intermittent snacking, after that it starts fading.
For pigmentation, it contains fairly good intensity of color. The reflection of shine helps in covering dark lips, and giving them a nice touch of coral shade. And as the gloss starts fading it leave behind a subtle hue of pink color which stays on for another couple of hours. So, if I talk about the overall staying period it keeps the lips beautifully colored for 5-6 hours. Plus, it is a hydrating lip gloss and thus, does not make the lips crave for moisturizer.

Final Word: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss-104 Mafia Gloss is a very pretty girly shade. Its high sheen makes the lips an attraction for viewers and its smooth creamy texture make it comfortable for wearers. The lip-shaper applicator provides bang on application as if the lips are immaculately filled using a professional tool. Its staying power is amazing as it crosses the average staying power of lip glosses. I am applying this lip gloss quite often these days as I like the radiance it brings to the skin. Overall, this high sheen long wear lip gloss is worth making an investment.
