Hope you are having a good time. A couple of months back, Oriflame has launched 10 shades in their new range of matte lipsticks. Most of these lipsticks belong to the brown family, and a couple of them are variations of pink. I have already reviewed my favourite shade ‘Pink Raspberry’, and today, I will be putting forth my opinion on the wild rose shade. Just like the name says, this lipstick belongs to the red color family but with a twist. Read on to know all the details about this shade.
My Take on ‘Oriflame The ONE Matte Lipstick Wild Rose’
This lipstick comes in a grey casing, with the shade mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. There is no color coding so you would not get to know the exact shade of the lipstick until you uncap it. This would be a problem if you are holding quite a few of these lipsticks. The cap bears the engraved ‘Oriflame the ONE’ logo. For the fragility and lightweight of the lipstick, you may need to place it neatly, otherwise it may get broken.

Wild Rose is one of the few lipstick shades from ‘Oriflame the ONE matte lipstick collection’ that belong to red color family. Otherwise, most of the shades in this range are variation of brown- from brownie delight to cherry bloom shades. Wild rose is a pretty red shade with brown undertone. Unlike my usual pink linking, this one gives quite a bold look. Owing to this boldness, I believe it would be a first pick for those are above thirties. The color is a good fitment for both day and night wear.

The texture is creamy but without the glossy effect. Though this lipstick is formulated to give a matte finish, yet it never makes lips feel dry or dehydrated. Even when I apply the lipstick, it glides smoothly and provides a moisturizing effect. I prefer matte lipsticks as they are quite wearable for all type of occasions – with or without gloss. But I rarely had a good experience with them mainly because they tend to make lips drier; on the contrary ‘Oriflame the ONE matte’ lipsticks provide the matte appearance while retaining the moisture. Moreover, it feels very light on the lips as if I have not applied anything on them. The non-sticky texture is an add-on, and makes me feel comfortable whenever I wear it.

For the longevity, it stays on for around 5 hours with just two swipes. If you need it to stay longer, use that puffed powder and tissue paper technique. Doing so can easily increase the staying power to 7-8 hours. Besides, it also makes the lipstick less transferrable to cups.

What I like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Matte Lipstick Wild Rose’
– Pleasing color that brightens up complexion.
– It feels light and non-sticky.
– It keeps the lips moisturized.
– Sturdy bullet, which does seem to survive through hot Delhi weather.
– It does not bleed and settle into fine lines.
– Stays on for around 5 hours.
– Fades evenly without giving a gross impression.
What I do not like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Matte Lipstick Wild Rose’
– Lipstick case seems slightly fragile.

Final Word: Oriflame the ONE matte lipstick wild rose is dark red lipstick with brown undertone. The creamy texture of the lipstick keeps the lips moisturized. Once applied, it seldom dares to bleed or fade unevenly. In my opinion this semi-matte lipstick would be a perfect choice for deep-hue lovers in that price.
