This is my first ‘Faces’ product. I had heard a lot about its cosmetic products primarily nail polishes and lipsticks but never got to pick one until last weekend. Now, faces brand has make it to GIP ‘shopper stop’, that’s where I got to purchase a couple of faces color cosmetics. Today, I will share my experience of Faces Go Chick Lipstick in rock solid shade.
For the festive season, I wanted to purchase a red lipstick as nothing can beat the freshness and charm that red color adds to your face. For festivals bright shades such as red, fuchsia and maroon are the best picks one because they depict that you are in a mood to celebrate, and second they make you look gaudy and cheerful.

My Take on ‘Faces Go Chic Lipstick Rock Solid Shade’
Faces Go Chick Rock Solid shade looks like a mauve -red (ish) shade on the bullet but when you apply it appears more of a dark red shade with berry undertones. A lively shade that is perfect for parties and festivals, and if you can wear bright shades to office then believe me this is the perfect pick for you. Somehow, I do not have the guts to carry bold shades with formals so I keep them reserved for parties and occasions like that.

The packaging is quite sturdy with a click lock system. The lipstick shade is mentioned on the case but there is no color coding so in case you have couple of lipsticks from this range it will become difficult to segregate the color without opening the cap.

The texture is not entirely creamy but still it makes the lipstick glides on to the lips smoothly. For the durability, it has a non-sticky feel that makes it comfortable to wear this lipstick for long hours. I do not have good experience with non-creamy lipsticks as they tend to make lips drier but this one instead of being non-creamy keeps my lips moisturized. I never feel the need of applying a lip balm underneath it.

It has a perfect satin finish that does not accentuate fine lines. Neither does it settles into fine lines but yes it starts bleeding after a couple of hours. So after meals you need to reset it either with a fresh coat or cleaning up the messy boundaries. The good thing is that it fades out evenly without leaving those obnoxious stains. In case you are not carrying around the lipstick, you just need to wipe off the bleeding as your lips will carry a tinge of pink until you wash them off.

It has a good color pay off so can be easily worn on pigmented lips. Regarding staying power, it stays on intact for about 3-4 hours but if you have meals or drinks in between then it calls for touch-ups. Looking at the affordable price of this range, this does not seem a big concern.

– It starts bleeding after a couple of hours of wearing.
– It is easily transferable to cups and glasses.
– It requires touch ups.
