After a long stretch of scorching days, these clouds have brought some relief for Delhities. In weather like this, I wish to stay back at home and enjoy my favorite classic movies of all times but alas! To compensate for that, I put on colorful makeup as that also brightens my mood. In today’s post I am sharing the second review of ‘L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner’. These eyeliners come in 10 beautiful shades and I am reviewing the ‘Pure Purple’ shade today. Let’s see what I have to say about it.
What the product says:
Indulge your eyes in silk. Glide on smooth intensity with our first silk inspired liquid pencil. Introducing Silkissime by Infallible. Our smudge-proof formula lasts for up to 16-hours of intense color from dusk until dawn.
Apply along the top and bottom lash line beginning in the inner corner of the eye and working outward. To sharpen, use L’Oréal’s Dual Sharpener and turns the pencil gently to create a working tip.
My take on ‘L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Pure Purple’
L’Oreal Paris infallible silkissime eyeliner pure purple comes attached to cardboard packaging with see-through top. There are no scissor marks engraved on the backside so I tore open the transparent plastic to detach the pencil from the packaging. The back of the packaging bears the ingredient list, usage instructions, etc. It is a purple colored pencil with transparent cap, and golden embossed text. The outer color of the pencil matches with the eyeliner shade but it still does not give the true color as finish has a huge impact on the color intensity.
Pure purple is a lively purple shade with pinkish tones. It is not a very loud shade so can be easily worn on everyday basis and special occasions. It is a soft subdued shade that adds a touch of innocence and brightness to the eyes. To make it pop up, I prefer applying it alongside black eyeliner. That ways, it gives a more prominent look and makes the eye makeup stand out.
It has soft creamy texture, which makes the application super easy. Even though it is pencil eyeliner, it glides like silk and gives good coverage in single stroke without the need of exerting a lot of pressure. Usually, I prefer liquid eyeliners as they are easy to work with but since I have started using Infallible Silkissime eyeliner I have developed the same liking for them as well. They are also super convenient, dry fast and give good color payoff.
It does not make the eyelids stiff, rather feels light and comfortable. The brand claims 16 hour stay but I wore it for 9 hours maximum, and it did stay intact without smudging or moving a bit. I wore it in the sweltering weather and it did not even run down or messed up the eye makeup. When comes to taking it off, though it is water resistant it can be easily removed using a makeup remover without any staining.
The only major con I find with this eyeliner is that it needs to be sharpened. I have not had good experiences with sharpening pencils before as they tend to waste a lot of product. Roll-on pencils are comparatively easy to use and do not lead to any wastage. And, as this eyeliner has creamy texture so I am anticipating that more products will cling to the blades or surroundings of the sharpener. Apart from this, the other con I found with this eyeliner is that it does not give an even look if I try to build up on the color intensity. The uneven finish is not very noticeable if applied along the lash line but only if used on a larger area just like an eyeshadow. Rest, I like the quality and feminine shade of ‘L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Pure Purple’.

Final Word: I love the quality of ‘L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Pure Purple’. Its soft texture makes it glide like silk and gives good color payoff in single stroke. Pure purple is a bright purple shade with pinkish tones and satiny finish. It is a daily wearable shade and a nice getaway from usual black or brown eyeliners. Overall, I recommend this eyeliner as it an easy way to dress up the eyes in purple hue.
