It is the first time I have seen ‘The Body Shop’ coming up with a body splash. Earlier there were just the body mists so the concept of a body splash is intriguing, and more so because the flavor is virgin mojito. I have already reviewed body butter and body scrub from this range, so it is time to pen down the review on Virgin mojito body splash. Keep reading to know more details about this new addition to bath and body category.

My Take on ‘The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Splash’
It comes in a round plastic bottle which is transparent and easy to carry. The translucent cap covers the outlet that is slightly wide in my opinion. Why? You will get to know that later. However, the cap ensures good grip over the contents so be worry-free if you are planning to take it along on a trip with you. It is a reusable bottle, so once you finish the current contents you can easily house another liquid product in it.
The bottle contains thin water like runny liquid (body splash) that can be directly applied on to the skin. As the consistency is watery and the hole is wide (this is what I have been talking about earlier) you need to be slightly carefully while pouring the contents out. If it had been based on a pumping mechanism the usage would be slightly easier.
For usage, it has to be rubbed all over the body post shower. The good thing is -being a colorless non-sticky liquid, it does not stain the skin or the clothes. It evaporates quickly post application, and though it contains alcohol yet it does not cause any irritation or stinginess on my body. I would say it is a skin-perfume however the potency is not as strong as those of real perfumes but it is sufficient enough to freshen-up the membrane.
It looks and feels exactly like water except the fragrance. Speaking of fragrance, like Virgin mojito body butter and scrub, the body splash also has refreshing mint and lemon fragrance. If applied alone, the fragrance stays for around 1-1.5 hours. But if it is applied on top of Virgin mojito body butter the fragrance can easily extend up to another 3-4 hours, fading afterwards. It does not vanish completely, as I can smell the last traces of disappearing fragrance even at the end of the day.

Final Word: The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Splash has a refreshing lime and mint fragrance that is specifically formulated to cater to the needs of the skin. It is a light liquid that does not harm the skin, and freshen it up with its soothing fragrance. The irony is the fragrance does not stay on for long unless applied on top of Virgin mojito body butter. If you do not mind the price tags and are a virgin mojito lover, take my word these products are surely made for you.
