Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion Review

Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion Review

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a gala time today. Regarding this review, I keep on experimenting with body lotions as they have leave least harmful effect on body.  This time I got Nivea whitening cell repair and UV protect body lotion, not because it has whitening property (I do not prefer whitening products) but because it contains acerola cherry. I am really impressed with some of the properties of the body lotion but others seem just average. Let’s have a detailed look on its pros and cons one by one.

Nivea whitening cell repair body lotion comes in a push button bottle that seems huge for travelling. But the runny consistency of the lotion makes it plausible to transfer the content to a small travel friendly bottle. You can also refill other small bottles and carry them in your handbag so that you could always use the lotion whenever required.

The lotion is creamy and white in color. If you have ever used cleansing milk then you can easily relate its resemblance to it. As I said its consistency is runny just as of cleansing milk but in my opinion that makes it easily slide on to the body. I do not have to do any hard work to make it absorbed into the skin, just one swipe over the lotion and it is all inside the body. The texture is non-sticky and silky. When contained in the bottle it also bears very mild fragrance but when on to the body the fragrance evaporates in seconds.

I have a habit of applying body lotions immediately after shower, and so do I do with Nivea whitening cell repair body lotion. The reason being after shower pores are open and have more capacity to absorb moisturizers which in turn lead to moisturized skin for long hours. This body lotion does not seem to provide long lasting moisture as only after 4-5 hours my skin starts itching because of dryness and I need to reapply the lotion.

Looking at extreme winter conditions, here in Delhi, this body lotion does not seem to work great but I do believe that this would be the perfect summer lotion. In summers our body does not crave for heavy moisturizer, so this would be an apt fit for summers. Plus, it contains UV protection that saves the skin from harmful UV rays and reduces sun tan, which is beneficial for both summer and winter season.

What I like about ‘Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion’

– It has a runny consistency that makes it easier to spread.
– It is a non-sticky lotion that quickly penetrates into the skin.
– It is housed in convenient packaging.
– It can be easily transferred to small travel friendly bottles.
– It protects the skin from UV rays so you do not need to add an extra layer of SPF.

What I do not like about ‘Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion’

– It does not provide long lasting moisturizing effect at least not in cold season.
– It contains parabens.

Price of ‘Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion’: INR 330 for 400ml

Shelf life of ‘Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion’: 30 months from manufactured.

BABE Rating: 3.7/5

Final Word: I like the texture and creamy consistency of Nivea whitening cell repair and UV protect body lotion. It is formulated with good ingredients (except parabens) that make it a skin friendly product. It is just that it does not seem to be a winter care product mainly because of the dryness that surfaces after a couple of hours of application, but I believe it will not let you down in summers when moisture is not what our body crave for.

You are right it doesn’t provide long lasting moisturization. I prefer vaseline cocoa over this one. Lovely review :D :dancydancy:

How many times i have to apply nivea body loation extra whitening spf 15 in a day?
Is it suitable for sun burn? Can i use it?

It all depends on the amount of time you are spending in the sun. If you are spending more time in sun, you should apply it after every few hours on exposed body parts.
