Today, I will be sharing my review on ‘Lotus Herbals claywhite black clay skin whitening face pack’. While purchasing the face pack I was in dilemma for choosing between Lotus Herbals claywhite black clay skin whitening face pack and VLCC’s clear tan face pack. As lotus products are said to be more credible so I chose ‘Lotus Herbals claywhite black clay skin whitening face pack’. Out of my curiosity of trying a new face pack, I tried it the very same day hoping to see miraculous results. Read out further to know how miraculous the results were.

Product description: ‘Lotus Herbals claywhite black clay skin whitening face pack’ claims to provide a brighter skin in just 20 minutes. The face pack comes in a soft plastic flip open tube. The pack is dark grey in color with smooth texture and muddy mint smell. In the direction for use mentioned on the tube, it is suggested to clean face thoroughly before applying this pack.
The main ingredients of Lotus Herbals claywhite black clay skin whitening face pack are Black clay (very rich in minerals and silica), bearberry extract (rich in arubtin) and liquorice extract.

I wash my face with face cleanser before applying this pack. After thorough face cleaning I apply this pack in thick layer and let it dry for 15 – 20 minutes. As the face pack is dark grey in color so once applied it gives the appearance of a Hindu mythological soap character. ;-) Well, for the record I have combination/oily skin, and I feel tingling when I apply this pack that continues for sometime even after rinsing off. It is also hard to remove the grey layer with just tap water. I have to wash my face after using this pack as it does not come out completely with water.

As far as the effects are concerned, it does not break my skin out but I notice couple of white-headed pimples next day after using this pack. It removes all the moisture from the skin making it looking dehydrated and stretched. I wonder what it will do to dry skin. Regarding skin whitening, I do not find this pack much helpful. I do not even find it working for tan removal.

Overall, I am disappointed with this product. I will not use it on face anymore; instead I will try to finish it off by using it on hands and feet.

I do not find anything positive about this face pack. I am regretting why I even bought it, and that too the largest quantity packaging. :cry:

– Leaves a grey layer after rinsing off.

– Absorbs all the moisture and makes skin look stretchy.
– Might cause white-headed pimples.
