Well, talking about skin care products, for last few weeks I have been observing a face pack, which to my amazement is addressing all my skin care concerns thereby compensating for my neglected routine. Here is my experience with ‘Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Pack’ but first of all let’s have a look at what the product claims to do.

My take on ‘Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Pack’
I have not used a face pack for years but after persuasive recommendations of my dear sister I decided to buy one. As I have never ever used a ready-made face pack so I was not sure what to look for in a face pack. The only ones that I have used were simple homemade packs devoid of all the chemicals. The primary problem with those packs was that they took some time in preparation. Considering the scarcity of time and also the growing need of my skin I required something that is less time consuming and more effective.

Summers leave a horrible effect on my skin. After summers my skin gets at least one shade darker than its normal shade and becomes uneven. As I do not do make up on daily basis so all the tanning and brown spots become prominent and anybody with a normal eye sight could easily point them out. To undo these changes I decided to go for a face pack that could not only remove tanning, blemishes and black spots but also enhance complexion.
I went to the grocery store, and told the sales girl what I actually required. She showed me two three face packs but what caught my attention was ‘Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Pack’. It was best fitted to my needs and my pocket too. The main things that drew me towards this face pack are its prime constituents KESAR and TURMERIC. Also it has aloe vera, walnut, cinnabloc and kaolin. All these ingredients are known for their own amazing properties like antioxidant, antibacterial, exfoliation and tan-removal.

This face pack comes in a squeezable flip open tube packaging. The pack is off white in colour with a semi-thick texture and mild fragrance. After thoroughly cleaning my face with face cleanser, I evenly apply this pack on face and neck area. It takes around 20 minutes to dry out; the good thing is that when the pack is on my skin does not feel stretched. After 20 minutes I rinse off the pack with tepid water and pat dry. It is easy to remove, and does not leave any residual behind. Even though it does not leave my skin drier but still I follow the routine of applying a hydrating moisturiser after this pack.

In regards to efficacy, since I have started using this pack I see visible improvement in my complexion. With consistent usage, it works on removing sun tan and curing blemishes. My skin feels soft and supple with a radiant glow.

– The face pack comes in ready to use form, no need to mix any rose water or anything else.
– It easily spreads on to the skin.
– It does not leave my skin dry.
– I can notice visible improvement in my skin tone readily after rinsing of the face.
– Every time I use this face pack it makes my skin glow.
– It is easy to rinse of and does not leave any traces behind.
– It does not stretch the skin even when the pack dries out on face.
– It comes in a flip open tube, spill proof so easy to carry in your bag.
What I don’t like about ‘Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Pack’
– After applying the pack, I feel a mild pricking sensation on face, which may be due to turmeric. But it does not cause any redness or other side effects.

Final word: I recommend this face pack for first time users and also to working women as it is quick to apply and address numerous skin concerns such as tanning, blemishes, brown spots and pigmentation. It has an impressive ingredient list that contains turmeric (which has anti-inflammatory properties), Walnut (which has acidic properties that kill skin bacteria), Aloe vera (which is antibacterial and acts as an astringent) and Saffron (which lightens skin and enhances complexion).

First of all, Very detailed review..I read every word of your reviews ..trust me !! Himalaya packs are really good for teh price.. My oily acne prone skin loves the Neem pack from this line. I would have loved to try this.. but because i got too many face packs just a few days back(u know that :P).. i am not gonna get it just now.. But the ingredient list sounds super impressive. I might wanna try this in coming days :D

Wanted to know if the tube is usually only quarter filled?!! As I got it today and my first squeeze of the tube fetched the contents out only when i sqeezed more than half way down the tube.

Fortunately, my tube was fully filled. I did not have to squeeze it that much for first use. Probably, the sales people might have played around with your tube. Make sure that you go for sealed products.

If no fresh pimples are popping up then you can use this pack but otherwise do not try any new products on your skin without dermatologist’s advice.

Hi Neha… It will work the same way around upper lips as it will on other parts of face. If the pigmentation is severe I would suggest consulting with a dermatologist.
