L’Oreal colour riche lipcolour range has a variety of shades. The shades vary from bold to nearly nude, that’s perfect for every look, skin tone and any occasion. Recently, I was looking for a daily wear nude lipcolour so have bought the taffeta shade from this surplus range.
The product claims that it is richer, creamier and more moisturizing than ever before. In addition to nourishing ingredients like Omega 3 and Vitamin E, the formula is enriched with Argan Oil to condition and soften lips. Your lips are kept soft, smooth, and ultra-hydrated.

My take on ‘L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour Taffeta 861 Lipstick‘
L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour, Taffeta 861 Lipstick comes in an attractive golden packaging. Tafetta shade is kind of a nude colour but on a pinkish mauve side. The shade would have looked much better had it been on a beige side. Nevertheless, taffeta is a decent shade with slight tinge of shimmer. In yellow light it gives the lips a natural shade and under the sun it makes the lips look light pink. It can be easily worn in broad day light, in office and in professional meets. Because of the light shade the staying power of this lipstick is not that good. It needs touch up after every 1.5 – 2 hours. If you succeed in wearing this lipstick till end of the day then it can be easily wiped off with a cotton pad or with a face wash :good: The texture of the lipstick looks sticky in the beginning but after 3-4 minutes it settles down, giving a comfortable non-sticky feel. This lipstick does not bleed so there is no need of outlining the lips if you are in a hurry. While applying the lipstick I smelt minor wax kind of fragrance, which subdued after some time. As far as the packaging is concerned, the look is eye catching but it is not travel proof. The cap of the lipstick does not have a strong grip over the base and that can cause wear & tear.

Overall, I am not much convinced with ‘L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour Taffeta’ even though it is daily wearable. The negatives of this lipstick outweigh the positives.

– Very decent shade.
– Slight Sheen.
– Easy to remove.
– Solid Packaging.
– Non Sticky.
– Does not bleed.
What I do not like about ‘L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour Taffeta 861 Lipstick‘
– Mild Fragrance.
– Less staying power.
– Packaging is not good.

Packaging of ‘L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour Taffeta 861 Lipstick‘- This lipstick comes in a golden packaging with a gold rim between the cap and the base. The cap of the lipstick does not seem too tight, thus can cause wear and tear of the lipstick if put along in a bag with so many other products. The bottom of the base shows the lipstick shade.
