My Take on ‘CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick Temptress 400’
CoverGirl temptress is a pale pink shade. It has a little warm feeling, as if I am getting attracted towards it. Actually, I am not the one who picked it up from the store but my mom. When I saw this shade I found it so appealing that I immediately transferred it to my own kit :clap: . The shade looks very feminine and seems to go whatever I wear this summer. But I got disappointed when I wore it the very first day. It made me look way darker than my normal complexion. This shade kind of looks like fluorescent pink, and I believe it’s not made for dark to medium skin tone but only for fair complexion.

Even though this shade did not suit me on first application itself yet I tried it a couple of more times in the hope that it might suit me somehow. The shade name “temptress” is truly appropriate to the temptation that I feel every time I look at it.

If I had spotted it a store shelf I would have brought it without testing. Thank God, I did not go after it. Now I do not have any option but to return it to my mom. She has a fair complexion so she can flaunt it well. I have let go this tempting shade :cry:

I have worn this shade only a couple of times but its remarkable prominent traits were visible only in first application. The staying poweris super long, when applied it sticks to the lips for an indefinite time. Practically, the staying power can go on for all day long (9-10 hours). When it wears out it leaves a noticeable pink color on the lips as if I have applied a lip liner. The con of long staying power is if it gets transferred to clothes the stains are difficult to get rid of. Other than that Temptress shade has medium to high pigmentation with sheer to full coverage.

The only thing that I find unattractive about this lipstick is its pungent smell that is kind-of waxy.

Final Word: Temptress is very pretty shade that will suit fair skin tones. The staying power is 9-10 hours with no bleeding. Pigmentation goes from medium to high with full coverage. Overall, if you have fair complexion you should definitely go for this tempting lipstick.

Just finished reading ‘Dan Brown’s Inferno’; the entire novel (461 pages) is spanned just over 2 days of drama, mystery and intelligence. Now as I have finished reading, I miss Robert Langdon and Sienna Brooks (characters from the novel). :cry: Dan Brown’s impeccable articulation kept me glued to the novel the whole time. A good read that included great historian Dante Alighieri’s work. I did not know anything at all about him before reading this book. Now, I can contribute to Dante Aligheri’s discussions ;-)

I looked for this very lipstick because i wanted another one for my purse. However, the #400 i found in cover girl lipstick had a different name. Is it the same lipstick? I live on the border of mexico. Sometimes things are given a more hispanic name. Could that be it? The name was “guava something”. Thx!
