Bblunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream Review

December 29, 2015 / 3 Comments / Shailja Vashisht

Irrespective of how much I love winter season, when my skin and hair start getting dull in this season I pray for it to be over soon. For skin, there are still myriad moisturizers available in the market that can save it from getting dull and lifeless but for hair there are not many options. Recently, I got ‘Bblunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream’ that claims to control frizz and make hair soft. You cannot anticipate my excitement when I saw this product as my hair was in dire need of it. Let’s see if it really fared well on expectations.

What The Product Says

This versatile cream ensures your hair looks great, however hot, dry or humid it gets out there. It enhances natural movement, smoothens and leaves you in charge, whatever the weather. Specially created for Indian hair. Protects from the environment and heat styling damage.

Ingredients Hydrolyzed Keratin, Quinoa – the protein with 8 essential amino acids & Provitamin B5

How to use: Works best on damp, towel dried hair. Take a small quantity into your palms. Apply evenly, focusing on mid-lengths & ends, keeping away from the scalp. Style as desired.

My Take on ‘Bblunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream’

It comes in a black tall pyramid shaped bottle. The bottle is convenient to use as it is based on pump dispenser mechanism. There is no cap over the nozzle so when the cream is left lingering at the spout it attracts dust particles and becomes unhygienic. Thus, it’s better to clean it properly to avoid contamination. Plus, the absence of cap makes this bottle risky to carry while travelling. But you will be good to go if the contents are transferred in a travel container. Or you can buy its 50g version; the smaller size packaging has its nozzle covered with a cap so you can easily carry it without worrying about spillage.

The cream is white in color with semi-thick consistency. It looks and feels similar to a regular conditioner. The difference lays in the usage, where most of the conditioners have to be rinsed-of, this leave-in cream remains in your hair until next shampoo. It has amazing perfumed fragrance, which is not very strong. It dissipates into the air within an hour of application. I really wish this wonderful fragrance would have stayed slightly longer.

As far as usage is concerned, I apply this cream on my towel dried hair post shampooing and conditioning. I apply it when the hair is damp but not dripping any water, that’s when it is easier to apply and gives even better results. Once I applied it on water-dripping (towel dried though) hair and the application was quite messy. Though I still got smooth hair but I feel it works better when there is not much water in the hair.

Efficacy wise, if you have dry frizzy hair you would love this leave-in cream. It makes hair soft and smooth without weighing them down. I have experimented with this leave-in cream with and without applying conditioner. Though it worked almost the same in both tests but I felt that when I applied it after conditioning I got better results in terms of smoothening.

It also claims to protect hair from heat-styling damage. Though there is no sure shot way to prove that claim yet I still apply this leave-in cream before styling my hair. Especially in this winter season when I have to blow dry my hair every other day, I prefer to slather it with ‘Bblunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream’, to at least have that protection-satisfaction.

Final Word: Bblunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream softens and smoothens hair. It is easy to use and makes hair fragrant- though not for a long duration. It claims to protect hair from heat-styling damage so in case you are in a habit of often using hair styling equipment you should apply this cream first. Travelling wise, the 150g packaging is not easy to carry unless the content is transferred to a smaller travel-friendly bottle or you purchase the 50g version.
