If you read my blog regularly then you must know that I have been using JAFRA Brightening products these days. They have their brightening cleanser, toner, serum and SPF. I have already reviewed the cleanser, you can check it here. The next thing I am reviewing from brightening range is ‘JAFRA Brightening Toner’.
What the product says
Brightening toner freshens and replenishes skin leaving a radiant complexion. To be used morning and night after cleansing. Sweep on with cotton pad over face and throat. Allow it to dry naturally for a few moments; this step is essential to allow skin to absorb the brightening benefits. Clinical evaluations showed that over 70% of women who used the brightening toner in synergy with the other Brightening Dynamics products, experienced radiant and brighter skin. 100% experienced even, clear skin.

My Take on ‘JAFRA Brightening Toner’
I am little cautious when it comes to face toners but still I have purchased lots of them that did not do well on my skin. Some of the negatives include excessive sticky-feel, not cleansing dirt and makeup leftovers and tingling sensation on the skin. I have oily-combination skin that is prone to open pores and acne breakouts so I am always on the lookout for a toner that should not only thoroughly clean my skin but also make a difference to the pore sizes.

JAFRA Brightening Toner, which I have been using for last couple of months have addressed some of my concerns if not all. It is a sheer transparent liquid that smells of alcohol + jasmine. Jasmine’s fragrance beats the strong alcohol smell, and that makes it pleasant. Had it smelt more of that pungent alcohol tang I would not have been able to use it on my face.
I use it twice a day, after cleaning my face with JAFRA Brightening cleanser. Just take a small amount of the product on a cotton swab and clean face & neck in outward direction. Sometimes I keep repeating the process until I get clean cotton, especially at night when I have to completely get rid of makeup. This toner penetrates into the skin in a couple of seconds leaving a hydrating effect.

After consistently using it for over 1.5 months now I see visible improvement in my skin tone. It looks more clear and even, with lesser blackheads and whiteheads on my nose. After every single use my skin looks more hydrated and smooth. However, I have been using it along with other products of the same JAFRA brightening range so it would be difficult to provide the whole-sole credit to just the toner. I guess every product is doing its bit to give a brighter and clearer skin.

– Does not any tingling sensation on the skin.
– Feels light.
– Removes impurities and cleanses pores.
– Suitable for all skin types.
– Provides hydration to my oily skin.
– Seeps into the skin in a couple of seconds.
– Does not cause any skin breakouts.
– Makes my skin smooth and soft.
– Long shelf life.
What I do not like about ‘JAFRA Brightening Toner’
– Contains alcohol.
– Sometimes stings eyes.
– Available only via JAFRA consultants.
– Does not work incredibly on reducing pore size.

Final Word: JAFRA Brightening Toner is a light non-sticky toner that provides hydration and thorough cleansing. It makes skin smooth, clear and supple. It does not make my skin stretchy or oily in fact it balances the apt moisture level giving a healthy looking skin. Looking at all the pros of the toner, and obviously if you do not mind using an alcohol toner (in fact it does not speak of alcohol that much) then you can definitely give JAFRA Brightening Toner a try.

i just cant take over powering smell.. I have oriflame and i just swipe it quickly and stop my breathe for a few seconds ..lol :P
That bottle is still half left.. I wont take any chance with this one :D

Can you suggest me some good cleanser, toner and day cream..I have got small acne due to heat and plus my skin tends to get tan easily..Though i stay mostly at home.
