I have always been fond of bold eye looks and used to wonder how some people get that winged or catty look with impeccable precision. Though I have seldom tried those sassy looks on myself particularly for a couple of reasons. One, my first eye liner was Lakme’s liquid liner, and it has been the only eye liner product I used until recently when I bought Maybelline New Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner. Year after year, I have emptied numerous bottles of Lakme’s liquid eye liner and with practice got more skillful in its application. A couple of times when I tried creating winged look with that liner I ended up looking like an alien for the lack of apt bristle size and eyeliner consistency. Secondly, owing to my reserve nature I never thought I would be able to carry off those bold looks. Now, with the advent of this new gel liner all my apprehensions have taken a back seat. I feel intrigued to experiment with different eye looks :clap:

My Take on ‘Maybelline New Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner’
‘Maybelline new lasting drama gel liner’ comes in hard paper packaging that contains a small pot and an eye liner brush. The cute pot is made of sturdy transparent plastic, and contains the gel liner. The eyeliner brush has thick bristles and it comes with a transparent plastic cap.

I totally love the formula of Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner. Being creamy and gel based, this liner comes up really well on the eye lids, and dries immediately after the application. Unlike liquid eyeliners that require a couple of minutes post-application for drying, this gel liner immediately paves the way for next makeup step.

Talking about pigmentation, this is a high pigmented liner with rich black look. I apply this eyeliner using the brush that comes with it. All I need to do is swirl the brush in the pot to get the product on the bristles, wipe of any extra product and outline the eyes. Before making this purchase I was dubious if it would be able to provide a crease free line or not. But contrary to my doubts, this gel liner glides smoothly on the lids to provide crease-free lines. The creamy texture makes it possible to draw fine to thick looks with super ease.
My apprehension of pulling off the winged or catty look was also subsided when I first used this eye liner. At the time of writing this article, I have managed to create winged eyeliner look 3-4 times. Though it will take practice to get super-perfect yet I feel it has been a commendable job so far :dancydancy: .

This is smudge-proof and waterproof eyeliner. I wear it all day long and it stays integral, including the wings, for all that time. The other best thing I like about this liner is that it is easy to remove. Waterproof products are usually tough and hard to remove even with makeup remover and face cleanser. But for this eyeliner I just need to put makeup remover on a cotton ball and in one swipe it is all gone. Afterwards, I wash my face with cleanser, and all left traces of the product are completely washed off.

– I prefer eye liner bristles to be little sleeker. This is not exactly a con as the bristle thickness depends on a person’s skill level and preference.
