Finding a concealer of your skin tone in Indian market is very difficult, especially for those who have dusky skin like me. I personally like liquid concealers but for my skin tone it is nearly impossible to get the closest match as there are not many concealer-shades available in India. So I finally got this Makeup Revolution London The Matte Effect Cover and Conceal’ for me in MC12 darkest shade. It has a total of 8 shades, some of the other shades that are available in this range are: MC 02 Fair, MC 03 Light, MC 05 Light Medium, MC 09 Medium Dark. The range is quite big I think people can easily get their choice of shade. I am glad I could find the closest match to my skin tone as well.

This concealer comes in a black swivel tube, and is almost the size of an average lipstick. The cap is sturdy and will not open up in a bag full of goodies. And, that also makes it easy to travel with. The compact size is quite handy and light weight. The stick format makes it easy to use and gives control so you can easily apply wherever you want. In nut shell, I really like the packaging.

The texture of this concealer is very creamy yet non sticky. I prefer my makeup products to be fragrance-free, and I am glad that this does not have any fragrance. This product is appropriate for yellow undertone, so it will be go well on those who have green veins. But if you have blue veins (pink undertone) this shade may not go well on your skin tone.

When I first applied this concealer I thought it won’t blend as it is in a stick form. But contrary to my expectations, it blends so well, no one can point out that you have any concealer on your face. The coverage is amazing; it covers everything from dark circles to acne marks and blemishes. The best thing is it does not make my skin oily. Unlike other base makeup products, it does not make the skin ooze excess oil. It is really good for normal and oily skin.

Another thing that I really like about this concealer is that it has a matte effect. Being the proud bearer of oily skin, I love things with matte effect. Plus, I do not like a lot of shiny effect on my dusky skin especially when it comes to base makeup and concealing. I use this concealer on daily basis, and do its job of concealing and brightening very well. As far as the staying power is concerned, on me it stays on all 4-5 hours without creasing. Moreover, as the shade is warm toned so it can also be used as a bronzer. This product is really affordable and the quantity and quality we get is awesome. This concealer is a nice option for people with dusky skin tones.

If you have dry skin or dry under eye area, I won’t recommend this product, but if you want to give it a shot you can apply it over moisturizer.
