Ageing becomes a concern for most of the women after the age of 30. Because of hormonal changes, the initial signs of ageing pop up way earlier on a woman’s skin than a man’s. That’s the reason women ought to use anti-ageing products the moment they hit 30. But after crossing the 40 benchmark, one should start using the actual anti-ageing products that should not only diminish prominent looking wrinkles but also rejuvenate skin by keeping it hydrated and moisturized. Of the L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Range, one anti-aging cream has been formulated taking in consideration the needs to 40+ people. Today, I will put forth my Mom’s views on this cream. Had I tested it myself, I would not have been able to do justice with the efficacy of this product. Hence, I asked her to do this review.

My Take on ‘L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Anti-Aging Whitening Cream Age 40 Plus’
Like other age 20+ and age 30+ creams of L’Oreal skin perfect range, age 40+ cream also comes in an off-white colored glass tub that has pale golden screw cap on it. A thin white plastic cap is also provided between the pale golden cap and contents of the tub to avoid spillage. The tub is quite heavy in weight so not at all travel friendly. Secondly, before every usage one needs to insert the finger in the tub that in turn makes the usage slightly unhygienic.
The cream is also off-white in color, and has a semi-thick consistency. For the apt consistency it is easier to slater and massage. It has a fruity fragrance that might be bothersome for sensitive noses but Mom loves it.
Just a small quantity is required to cover face and neck areas. If you go even a slightest bit overboard with the quantity you may see a white cast all over you skin. Normally, it settles down after 10-15 minutes but if you have dry skin it might require more time. This cream is infused with spf 21, which is a good thing because many anti-aging creams come without spf. In summers spf is one of the significant sought after quality of a day cream, as applying a separate spf cream becomes little irritating in the already sticky weather.
For the efficacy, my mom has been using this cream for over 1 month now. She feels a significant difference in her skin tone as it has become even now, and she is happy that she does not have to apply another sun protection cream after this. The wrinkles have not diminished significantly, though the skin imparts a rejuvenated healthy glow. There is not much permanent difference in whitening either except for that instant whitening effect.
What I like about ‘L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Anti-Aging Whitening Cream Age 40 Plus’
– Unlike majority of the anti-ageing creams, this one is reasonably priced.
– Easily glides on to the skin.
– It contains SPF.
– It provides a matte finish, so will be good for combination to oily skin.
– Fruity fragrance, which might be a concern for some.
– If used in minimal quantity it provides instant whiteness.
– It provides matte effect that is a reprieve for oily skin.
What I do not like about ‘L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Anti-Aging Whitening Cream Age 40 Plus’
– Because of the heavy packaging it is not a travel friendly cream.
– Does not render significant improvement in diminishing signs of ageing such as wrinkles.
– It leaves a white cast behind.
– It might not work well on dry skin.
