H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub Review

H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub Review

Hi Everyone,

Following a strict skin care regimen becomes imperative in summer season. Primarily, to get rid of the clogging and damage caused by dust and sunrays respectively. Speaking of sun, pigmentation and suntan become a unanimous story in this weather. To put a halt on these unwelcome effects of this other beautiful season, we need to consistently follow a scrub and face-pack schedule – most probably once a week. While I was getting ready with my summer skin care essentials, I bought this H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub, which I have been using quite often these days, often enough to put forth my experience on it .

What the product says:

– Soft, spherical beads gently polish away dryness without abrasion or irritation
– Advanced formula improves skin texture and facilitates moisture penetration
– Sea Mineral Complex and hydrating marine extracts of wakame, sea fennel, and sea lettuce help cleanse, while conditioning and softening the skin

My Skin Type: Combination to oily, acne prone.

My Take on ‘H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub’

H2O plus sea mineral scrub comes in a flip open tube packaging. The mauve colored tube is made of soft plastic, with a silver cap that has spill-proof grip. Because of the light weight packaging, this tube can be easily carried in a handbag while travelling. You can even thrust it in a bag full of goodies without any fear of leakage.

The scrub is pearly white in color, and comprises of minute particle which are very subtle- too subtle to leave a harsh effect on the skin. The texture is non-sticky and has a very mild fragrance. I think this would be an advantage for those who either have sensitive skin or a sensitive nose.

For the application part, take some product on your left hand, and using your right hands’ fingertips start applying it on your moist face. Move your tips in soft circular motions, focusing on nose and chin areas; these are the ambits where most of the clogging happens. Usually, I keep doing this process for 2 minutes, but you can stop before that as well. Once the exfoliation is done wash off your face and neck areas using tepid water, and pat them dry. Initially, I had some difficulty in using this scrub as I am used to prominent scrub particles; as long as I do not work with sizeable granules I do not get the feeling of exfoliation. I hope after another couple of weeks of usage I will get adjusted to working with these beads.

As far as the frequency goes, I apply this scrub every other day; mainly because of the skin-friendly particles but as per the SA it should be applied twice a week. I follow up the exfoliation with ‘H2O plus aqualibrium mariner toner’ and then with moisturizer. In case you are not accustomed to using a toner then just slather moisturizer. As the pores are open, after exfoliation, so the moisture quickly penetrates deep inside the skin, resulting in skin invigoration and renewal.

Talking about the efficacy, I feel that this scrub removes dust particles and makeup, and unclog pores. But even after consistently using this scrub for over 3 weeks I do not see any dramatic change in my skin tone other than on softness and healthy quotients. For uniformity in skin tone or reduction of pigmentation, I have not noticed any outstanding results.

What I like about ‘H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub’

– It feels very light on the skin.
– Because of the minute scrub particles, this scrub can be used more often.
– Lathers well.
– It removes external impurities such as dust and makeup residuals.
– It does not bother nostrils.
– It contains red marine algae, which makes the skin firmer.

What I do not like about ‘H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub’

– Not that effective in removing dead skin.
– Price is on higher side.

Price of ‘H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub’: INR 1050 for 75ml

Shelf life of ‘H2O Plus Sea Mineral Scrub’

BABE Rating: 4/5

Final Word: Fortified with effective marine elements such as red algae, and other multivitamin complexes such as Vitamins A, C & E, this scrub tends to repair skin and prevents cell damage. Though the price is on a higher side yet looking at the benefits of the marine botanical ingredients it can be given a one-time shot.
