Carry Newspaper On Your Finger Nails Using Newspaper Nail Art
Hi Everyone,
Do you often read newspaper while travelling? What if you don’t have to carry the hardcopy with you, and instead carry paper on your finger nails? ;-) Carrying newspaper on finger nails has a name: newspaper nail art ;-) . Reading this newspaper will be a task in itself; as the imprint would be backwards.
Before I tried out this nail art, I always used to find it complex. Of all the customary nail arts I have worn so far newspaper nail art is indeed very unique and simple-to-do art.
Follow these simple steps to do newspaper nail art, you will be done in no time. I have started liking this art and I hope that you will start liking it too :nailfile:

Step 1: Cut 10 small rectangular/square chits from newspaper. Make sure that the size of the chits is large enough to cover the nail length and width.

Step 2: Apply a transparent base coat.

Step 3: Once the transparent base coat dries out choose any base nail colour. Keep the nail shade as light as possible; you might like to try nude shade, baby pink, grey and off-white. The lighter the base nail colour the more prominent newspaper imprint will become. I have applied 2 coats of pearl candy from Maybelline Color Show range.

Step 4: Take water or alcohol in a bowl, enough to dip your nail in it. Dip the finger nail (one by one) in liquid bowl for 15 seconds, before dipping your nail ensure that the base coat was completely dried out.

Step 5: After 15 seconds take out the nail and immediately wrap it up with newspaper chit (the one you cut in step 1). While wrapping make sure, that newspaper text is turned backwards. Swing your finger over the chit, pressing it hard and covering all the edges. Keep it under pressure for 10 seconds and remove off.

Step 6: Once you are done with all finger nails, apply a top coat. Top coat application is must as it prevents pre-mature chipping.

Step 7: This is an optional step, if you have time do this otherwise skip it off. To make the newspaper nail art look cleaner, take an ear bud, dip it in nail paint remover and wipe off newspaper imprint from nail edges. Be careful to not to interfere with the nail art.
I have skipped step 7 in this tutorial that’s why you see those black imprints all over on nail edges. Did not have time to wipe them off :cry:

For Best Results
1) Do not use a glossy newspaper. Matte or rough paper gives a better finish.
2) Preferably, use a matte (without shine) nail colour as base.
