Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color – 201C Wet Cement Review, Swatch
When I was drafting Vol-3 of ‘My recent nail paint shades’ series, (you can check Vol-1 here and Vol-2 here) I got struck by Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color – 201C Wet Cement. Before deciding to add it to Vol-3, I have already liked the shade and worn it a couple of times. Usually, when you keep going with routinely things you do not pay much attention to them, forget about observing them. Similarly, even though I had worn this shade before yet it was only when I started working on Vol-3 post I paid attention to it, and immediately decided to write a separate detailed review on it.
My Take on’ Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color – 201C Wet Cement’
Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Colors come in a sturdy packaging; even if you throw them on a hard floor I do not think they will break. Please do not start throwing away your nail polishes to verify this . What I assumed is that the packaging looks so solid that it could save the nail paint bottle after an accidental drop. The bottle is also little heavier (in weight) than other nail paints.
The brush has thick bristles with an angular shape that is somewhat similar to salon nail paints. Because of the curved shape the brush fans easily covering entire nail in just one go. Spread it a little, and it will cover all the corners in just one fanning. The brush holder is thick enough to give a stable grip while making the application.
I find the shade name “Wet cement” a bit awkward as in India wet cement does not look like this. As far as I know the wet cement is kind of dark grey in color, probably in other countries they make colorful cement . On a serious note, I find the shade close to deep Tuscan red or some lighter shade of mauve. But whatever the name may be this is a unique, decent, sober and good-to-go with all outfits shade.
The glossy look of this nail paint adds it to the ‘nail paint salon’ category. The swatch photographs that you see here are taken on 3rd day of application. Still you can see the shine that has not faded away completely. The best part is that it does not chip off easily even when I do the dishes or the laundry. My nails look ever ready amidst all daily errands. Removing this paint is also easy, just place the nail remover swamped cotton on your nails for 3-4 secs, rub a little and it vanishes away in a blink.
