Tresemme Split Remedy Shampoo Conditioner Review
Since last 7 months I have not got any time to get a new haircut or even trim it. You can imagine the health of my hair strands especially the ends. They not only look rough and dead but also give a lazy tag to one’s personality. But honestly, I am not that lazy I just did not get any time (excuse?? No 😉 ).
Just when I was planning to get my hair cut Tresemme sent this split remedy shampoo and conditioner. ‘Ohh no… My hair has to wait for another 3-4 weeks’ was my first reaction when I saw this split rescue pack. You know the life of a blogger – sometimes our personal likes/priorities take a back seat. But if this reprioritizing benefits somebody somewhere then that accomplishes the purpose of blogging.
Anyway in this case, for the product this was an ideal situation to show some results and win the bonus points. No hair cut (hair trimming) in 7 months literally means a lot of work on split ends. After 3 weeks of continuous use of Tresemme split remedy shampoo + conditioner, let’s see my verdict on it.
What the product claims:
This deserves a special mentioning here: “Helps rescue up to 96% split ends after 3 washes”. Did you just raise your eyebrows? Well I did that when I read it first 🙂
My Take on ‘Tresemme Split Remedy Shampoo Conditioner’
Tresemme Split Remedy Shampoo comes in a black press button bottle. The shampoo is pearl white in color and has a semi thick consistency with mild fruity fragrance. As you know, I never directly apply shampoo/conditioner on my scalp or hair. Likewise, I dilute Tresemme split remedy shampoo and massage it on to my scalp and hair strands. After a couple of minutes of massage I rinse it off with regular water.
Afterwards I apply Tresemme split remedy conditioner. Split remedy conditioner also comes in a press button bottle but in white color. The conditioner has thick consistency that makes it difficult to run out. When the bottle is half finished I have to open the cap every time I have to use it. After diluting the conditioner I apply it on my hair strands till the end, gently massaging them. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse. As this is not a scalp conditioner so I avoid it applying on my scalp.
Coming to the efficacy part, both the shampoo and conditioner are easy to rinse off. They do not leave any soapy or greasy residues behind. After 3 weeks of continuous use I feel that this pack is not harsh on hair. With every wash my hair health has improved, hair has become less frizzy and more manageable.
On Tresemme’s 96% split end reduction claim, I did not see any noticeable difference in the split ends after 3 washes. The reason might be that the hair was already much damaged, and there was a lot to do for healing. So, I thought to give it some more time, and kept using the split remedy pack. Now after 3 weeks of continuous use, the hair strands do not look like a broom anymore instead they have gained a reputable look. Although I do not feel that the split ends have reduced by 96% yet they have been considerably reduced. I feel if someone keeps using this product he/she might attain that big number. Nevertheless, at present I do not see immediate need of a haircut or trimming – this statement itself speaks of the damage recovery 🙂 .

Final Word: After 3 weeks of regular Tresemme split remedy use, my hair looks and feels healthier. Tresemme split remedy shampoo + conditioner has significantly improved the look of my 7 months uncut hair strands. With this improved look I can think of holding back the longed haircut but I won’t do so as I am dying to change the look.
