Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold Review Swatch
A couple of months ago, Oriflame has launched The ONE colour impact eye shadows in 6 different shades: Rose Gold, Golden Brown, Olive Green, Deep Indigo, Shimmering steel and Intense plum. If you are planning to give a look to these shadows, I would advise you to check the swatch post. I have already done an exclusive review of ‘Shimmering steel’ eye shadow, and you can check it here. Today, I will be sharing with you my take on Rose Gold shade, the eye shadow I am using often these days.
My Take on ‘Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold’
It comes in a cute plastic packaging, with purple screw cap that has the brand name engraved in silver. It is very light weight and easy to carry while travelling. The pot is small so be careful while you place it in your handbag, otherwise you may have to spend a great deal of time in just locating the cute pot. Well, because the base of this packaging is transparent so you would be able to see the exact color of the eye shadow even before you unscrew it.
Rose gold is kind of a beige shade with some shimmer effect in it. The pigmentation is not too great. If you have not applied any primer underneath, the shadow would not even show up on the eye lids. Like every coin the low pigmentation trait has its pros and cons. Pro is that because of less pigmentation wearing this eye shadow to work place will be easier, and the con is that if you need to wear this shadow for a night party you need to build up the pigmentation, which is not possible without primer.
Being a light shade, it can be worn to office or other professional meetings without giving a loud appearance. That is the reason why I love wearing it to office. If your eye lids are pigmented then you can cover up that pigmentation by slathering this natural look eye shadow on them.
For the application part, as ‘The ONE’ eye shadows are creamy in texture so they can be easy applied. Sometimes, I even use my index finger to tap the product on eye lids, and it does the job perfectly fine. Because of the creamy texture, blending becomes a lot easier and can be accommodated either with a finger or a blending brush.
The longevity would differ depending on your skin type. If you are an oily-skin beauty, then this shadow may start creasing after 2-3 hours. But in case you have dry skin, these shadows may stay intact for longer.
What I like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold’
– Easy to apply, can be applied with finger as well.
– Daily wearable shade.
– Convenient, travel friendly packaging.
– Because of the subtle shade it can be used for brow-highlighting as well.
What I do not like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold’
– On oily lids, it becomes streaky after 2-3 hours.
– Pigmentation is not too intense.
Price of ‘Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold’: INR 449 for 4 g
Final Word: Oriflame The ONE Colour Impact Cream Eye Shadow Rose Gold is a perfect shade for office wear, and for pigmented eyes. The pigmentation is buildable, and can be intensified by using a primer underneath. On oily lids, it may crease after a while but the natural glossy look it brings to the eyes is unbeatable and exotic.
