The one urge that I find unable to satiate is the impulse to create a huge makeup-collection. Everything about makeup- right from eye shadows to lipsticks seems intriguing and new. Recently, Oriflame has cordially sent a couple of lipsticks from their newly launched The ONE Matte lipstick range. Being a pink lover, I thought of starting off with the ‘pink raspberry’ review. Just like the raspberries this shade looks delectable, however read on to know my view on the texture and other parameters.
My Take on ‘Oriflame The ONE Matte Lipstick Pink Raspberry’
Last month Oriflame has launched ‘The ONE Matte Lipstick’ range. As the name says these lipsticks have non-glossy look, and they come in 10 different shades. The packaging of the matte lipsticks differs from Oriflame’s ‘long wear’ lipstick range in terms of size. The long wear lipsticks are sleek, comprising of sophisticatedly shaped bullets; whereas matte lipsticks are slightly bulky in packaging with the bullet shape resembling to the traditional lipsticks. Unlike The ONE long wear lipsticks, matte lipsticks have their shade names written on the packaging. This is a savior as it helps in locating the lipstick without opening the entire packaging.
Pink Raspberry is a very vibrant shade, which freshens up the face taking off the day long exhaustion. I have so many pink lipsticks, yet I never get fed up of any of them. In my opinion, this is the kind of shade that will suit all complexions. Initially, because of the vibrancy I was little reluctant to wear this shade to office but once I wore it I felt comfortable in wearing it all day long. I think going forward I would not be having any apprehensions in wearing such lively shades.
For texture, though it is a matte lipstick yet I do not find the appearance completely matte. Rather it is slightly (just a tiny bit) towards glossy side. The texture feels creamy and smooth on the lips. When I apply the lipstick, it glides on smoothly onto the lips. The texture makes the lipstick so comfortable to use that even those who have dry or patchy lips would not find any problem with application. In addition, because of the non-stickiness I really find this lipstick easy to wear all day long.
Talking about longevity, it stays on bright for 4-5 hours, even when I eat intermittent meals. However, it does transfer to cups and spoons, but that does not take off the vibrancy of this shade. Besides, being on the matte side it does not bleed from the corners, so I seldom need to wipe off the extras. The high pigmentation of this shade would be a plus point for those who have pigmented lips.
Moreover, I feel that this lipstick is extremely light on the lips. It does not make me feel I have even applied anything on the lips. This trait adds on to the comfort-ability aspect, and makes me wear it more often.
