I hope you all have started your preparations to embrace summer season. I know, Delhi’s weather gets extremely hot and almost crosses the tolerance level, yet the starting months of this season bring a change from winter wardrobe. I have already started purchasing my favourite summer makeup stuff; the recent one I have got is Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Moon Bean. You might have seen the swatch photographs of this nail paint on BABE earlier; I could not write the review because of time scarcity, so thought of writing it now.
My Take on ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Moon Beam’
I love Maybelline color show (MCS) nail paints. My husband is almost pestered by my habit of getting at least one MCS nail polish on every shopping spree. You must be thinking that I am bragging as there are not many shades in this range. Well, the small sizes of the bottles ensure that they get fully utilized. As most of the colours are tempting and suit Indian skin tones so I tend to apply them often, resulting in emptying the bottle. Plus, the reasonable prices of these quality nail paints make me purchase them again and again.
One of the recent shades I have got for me is Moon Beam; actually it is my second bottle of the same shade. As summer season is approaching, I want to replace my favourite makeup stuff (expired or emptied) with refills. I would like to be ready for the initial months of this season, as that is the only enjoyable summer time; afterwards it gets too hot that even the thought of stepping out of the house becomes a headache.
Talking about moon beam shade, this is a pearly white nail paint that looks very decent especially on fair skin tone. The elegance of this shade gives the royal look and enhances the beauty of hands. I like wearing this shade with formal attires and floral dresses as most of my wardrobe comprises of white base outfits, be they formal shirts or small print dresses.
Being a pastel nail color the application part is slightly time-consuming. You have to be careful while covering the nail beds – the brush should move in clean vertical strokes, otherwise you might end up with streaky nails. It is always a wise idea to go for 2-3 coats to make up for the application mess and streakiness. For the cautious effort required to apply this nail shade, I usually avoid it applying in situations of time crunch.
Like all other MCS nail polishes, moon beam dries quickly. But if you are going for more than 1 coat you may have to sit hand-still for long in order not to smudge the applied paint.
What I like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Moon Beam’

– It can be used as a base for most of the nail art designs.
