Makeup Look: Blue Eyes With Pink Lips… Paint it in blue
“Blue eyes hypnotize teri kardi eh menu…” this is the song I have been chanting since I put on the makeup. It’s a nice catchy song with dance beats. Oh, I so want hit the dance floor amidst loud music, flashing lights and a group of crazy friends. The last time I painted my eyes blue was when I went for a disc party with my girlies. Due to scarcity of time I could not click the photographs so thought of recreating the look.
Before I give a breakdown of the makeup let me tell you first what happened in the party that day. Four of us hopped inside a cab to get down in one of the reputed discs of GK (Greater Kailash, Delhi). So dolled up and excited we were for dancing that we reached the premises at 9:00 pm 😥 I know how stupid we acted- I mean which disc starts operating at 9:00 pm, and that too on Saturday night in Delhi ? Ok, I accept that was a blunder from our end, which at any cost would not get repeated if we plan any such outings in future. Nevertheless, thence started the waiting for people to hit the dance floor. In the interim we ordered food gulped it all down and waited for people to start dancing – it was 10:30 by then and nobody had started dancing yet. So we ordered another serving of food, and again savored it, and this vicious circle went on. Until 11:30 pm we kept eating and waiting for dancing to get started but when nothing of that sort seemed plausible we called in the cab and headed back to my friends’ place. The most fun part were the rides (that gave us some mocking and leg pulling time) to and from the REPUTED DISC, where dancing seldom happens. After this idiotic incident we have laid down some thumb rules for disc partying:
1) Do a thorough search about the place and its timings.
2) Check for its genuine reviews.
3) Punctuality is not meant for discs; rather try reaching as late as possible 😉
I got to stay with my friends that night so that was the most treasure part for me.
Now coming back to the makeup look, except eyes I have kept everything else low and simple. Here is the detailed breakdown:
Foundation: For base makeup just ‘L’Oreal paris infaillible in shade sable’ was used.
Blush: L’Oreal true match in rose pink.
Lipstick: Revlon colorburst matte balm in sultry shade.
Compact powder: Covergirl smoothers pressed powder in translucent fair shade. This step is not required if you have dry skin but if you are the proud bearer of oily skin it is mandatory to use pressed powder, doing so would help in restraining makeup meltdown and increasing its longevity.
Mascara: Orfilame the one volume blast.
Eye shadow: Oriflame the one indigo blue shade.
Eyeliner: Maybelline lastong drama gel eye liner.
I would love to know your take on this look, and yes do let me know the best discs you have been to, in Delhi.
