Coco Chanel once said “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
Just like that every season is followed with its own fashion sense. Especially, summer season is one which often brings an opportunity to dress up in style and elegance. For girls, several options such as floral knee length dresses, maxi dresses, capris, jeans, palazzos, blah blah exist. However for men, there used to be just handful of options, but with changing times men have also witnessed a massive change in their wardrobes .As compared to women, fewer men are into the segment of styling, and following latest trends. Had it been left to them they would have just worn a couple of pairs of jeans matching them with an equal number of shirts. Often, they need to be pushed for purchasing the modern panaches. With the latest trends of faded jeans, chinos, half sleeve collar shirts fashion-freak men can also put forth their style statements. In this modern era, even men have become conscious of their dressing sense or should I say it has improvised, and so do the options.
This is the fabric which does not only look graceful but feel comfortable as well. Recently, couture industry has launched trousers that go perfect well with half sleeve shirts or short kurtas. Besides, a white linen shirt with blue jeans and canvas shoes is an all time modern look.
Jeans / Denims
Jeans is the evermore fashion statement. Though the style has varied from regular to narrow bottom, plain to monkey wash, whole to rugged pair of jeans, yet in whatever form they are designed they always fetch the interest of individuals. Rugged jeans are the latest drifts, and they look sophisticated with a round neck half sleeve shirt. The regular ones look better with a plaited shirt, and give a semi-formal look.
It’s not been long that the fashion gurus started wearing narrow bottom pants, which have the look of narrow-bottom jeans but the fabric of trousers. Furthermore, the chinos are categorized into casual, formal and smart subdivisions. These can be styled with blazers, hoods, a plain half sleeve T-shirt or even with a formal shirt. I find them the most versatile pair of men’s clothing that can be appropriate for just any occasion.
Half Sleeve Shirts/T-Shirts
In half sleeves T-Shirt category, men have myriad options such as collared neck, round neck, plain T shirts or chequered ones. The recent trend is to wear collared plain T-shirts along with a pair of faded jeans, a jute belt and canvas shoes. Casual dressing depends largely on the occasion, for example in most of the corporate offices Friday is being celebrated as casual day so individuals prefer to turn up in collared T-shirt, and for a beach holiday men opt to wear funky round neck T shirts with a pair of capris or shorts. Half sleeves plaited shirts look more comfortable, as well as stylish, when worn with either with a pair of jeans or chinos. Whatever is the case, this type of dressing looks and feels at ease.
In summers, some men even prefer to wear Bermuda shorts to deal with the heat and make a fashion statement. This clothing item can only be worn on beaches, or while walking or making a short trip to a nearby place. Usually, these are considered semi-casual attire because of their length and appearance.
Irrespective of the new horizons being carved in men’s clothing section; they always need a little push to embrace these new fashions and stay abreast with the happenings in their fashion world.
